Darren Sketchley is not only Big Brother to Matthew Murchie for the past 25 years and a volunteer in Big Brothers Big Sisters In-School Mentoring program, his company Formcor is all about giving back to the community. Formcor is a privately owned, Mississauga based, print management and communication company with more than 20 years of experience in providing print and production management solutions for clients across Canada. With an established list of valued customers, Darren has always believed that if his customers support him then he supports them. Over the years Formcor has been a supporter of local women’s shelters, cancer runs and any other organizations that their customers have been involved in. Of course, closest to Darren’s heart has always been Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Over the holidays Darren has always made sure to thank his customers with some kind of gift. In 2003, Darren decided instead to send a letter to his customers saying that he is making a donation to Big Brothers Big Sisters on their behalf in lieu of gifts. Darren was astounded by the positive reaction of his customers. They loved the idea! Included in his letter were photos of Darren and Matthew over the years along with a thank you to Formcor’s customers for their continued business. For Darren, he wouldn’t do it any other way. Knowing that Formcor, together with their customers are able to make the holidays brighter for the children at Big Brothers Big Sisters is a gift in itself to them and something they do with pride. Over the past 9 years they have donated $10,000 helping to put smiles on our children’s faces. Thank you Formcor!
