Be a Volunteer

Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer!

Many adults have fond memories of a special person who played an important role in their personal, occupational or professional development. That special person, most often someone older, was a source of support and nurturing not always available from peers, parents or siblings. This "friend" provided inspiration, acceptance, a sympathetic ear, career opportunities or exposure to new activities or ideas. Today we would call that special person a mentor.

Being a mentor is simple. It's about sharing time:play catch, read a book or watch movies and make popcorn. Through our enrollment process, we get to know you so we can find the best match for you. You will be matched based on common interests and a caseworker will be there to support you along the way.
