2010 Highlights
On Tuesday, June 15th Big Brothers Big Sisters of Peel celebrated its 25th Anniversary Golf Classic under a clear blue sky! Over 140 golfers enjoyed their day golfing in the sunshine at the Caledon Woods Golf Club. Guests were welcomed to lunch on the patio and then sent off for a shot gun start following an inspirational message by special guest Michael "Pinball" Clemons who made surprised appearances at each hole. Players then headed out to the course to enjoy skill-testing challenges and to receive great specialty items to add to their gift bags at each hole. With our great appreciation to the amazing team who volunteered their time to ensure that this event was the best yet. We would like to express our gratitude to the members of this committee – David Straughan, Dustin Wilson, Lorne Smith, Sylvie Hyndman, Steve Hamulecki, Jan Greedy & Peter Robinson. Thank you to our special guests, Brian Nugent (CFL), Damon Allen (CFL), Michael “Pinball” Clemons (CFL) and the Toronto Rock, a very special thanks to the team at the Caledon Golf Club for their hospitality and last but not least, thank you to all of the selfless volunteers who assisted with the event. On Tuesday, June 16th Mother Nature was on our side as over 140 golfers enjoyed a day of golf with the sun shining bright and not a cloud in the sky! Guests were welcomed to lunch on the patio and then sent off for a shot gun start following an inspirational message by special guest Michael "Pinball" Clemons. Players then headed out to the course to enjoy skill challenges and to receive great items to add to their gift bags at each hole.
The 24th Annual Golf Classic was led by a fantastic group of individuals who volunteered their time to ensure that this event was the best yet. We would like to express our gratitude to the members of this committee - Lorne Smith, Sylvie Hyndman, Steve Hamulecki, Jan Greedy & Peter Robinson.
Thank you to JT Schramek our events Emcee, Jared Pettman our Auctioneer who were both very entertaining throughout the evening, to Jason Crosbie of the Toronto Rock, and our Golf Pro Dustin Wilson who provided some challenges for players while on the greens and to the 20 volunteers who assisted with the event. |
