The Conversation Club is our youth mentoring program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and offered in partnership with the Centre for Education and Training, The Peel District School Board and The Meadowvale Branch Library of the City of Mississauga. This after school program introduces new Canadian youth (12-18) to a volunteer mentor (16-25). The new Canadian youth and their mentors meet in a group setting for one hour each week, spending their time addressing homework concerns, practicing English conversation and presentation skills, learning about Canada and sharing experiences and common interests.
This program runs all year-round and is divided into two sessions (school year and summer) and supervised by our Conversation Club Caseworkers.
